About the event
Join GlynCoy for a Hidden Wiltshire guided walk across one of Wiltshire's most spectacular chalk landscapes, where sweeping views, ancient monuments and centuries of history combine to create an unforgettable experience.
Starting at Quemerford, we will head up to the magnificent Cherhill White Horse, we'll explore the open downs, visit the striking Lansdowne Monument, enjoy panoramic views towards Silbury Hill, Avebury and the Marlborough Downs, before returning through the peaceful valley of Ranscombe Bottom.
This is much more than a scenic walk—it's an opportunity to understand the remarkable landscape that has been shaped by people for thousands of years.
As we walk, I'll reveal the stories hidden within the hills, explaining how prehistoric communities, medieval farmers and Georgian landowners have all left their mark on this unique corner of Wiltshire. We'll discover why this landscape became one of Britain's richest ceremonial and agricultural landscapes, and how its monuments continue to dominate…
