About the event

Join Glyn Coy for a Hidden Wiltshire guided walk through one of the most fascinating prehistoric landscapes in Wessex.

Over the course of approximately 3½ hours, we'll explore the ancient hillforts of Battlesbury Camp and Scratchbury Camp, connected by the sweeping chalk ridge of Middle Hill, before returning through the historic village of Bishopstrow.

This isn't simply a countryside walk—it's a journey through thousands of years of history.

As we make our way across the downs, I'll share the stories behind the landscape, drawing on archaeology, history, folklore to reveal how these hills have been shaped by people for millennia.

Along the route we'll discover:

  • The Iron Age hillforts at Battlesbury and Scratchbury.
